Why are you different from other agencies?

We build you an audience, but we rarely start from scratch. We start with whoever already has your buyer's trust.

Pathfinder's best clients had always come through accountants and solicitors, so we didn't market to high-net-worth individuals directly, we focused on their trusted advisers. Do we get handed to junior marketers once we've signed?

No. You get the people who did the work for our top case studies. We keep the client list short so that stays true, which is also why we won't be the cheapest option you look at.

How long before we see a return on investment?

Accepted Answer

In the first few weeks you'll feel the difference in how marketing runs. Sharper message, more consistent communication, a tangible plan. That level of marketing maturity is the thing clients notice first.
In the first few months we go after quick wins: relationships you already hold, enquiries that went quiet, a CRM nobody has worked. That's where early pipeline wins come from.
Net-new pipeline from people who've never heard of you takes six months or more. Be careful of anyone who tells you otherwise. What we can do in the meantime is measure the things that reliably come before it, the engagement, the inbound questions, the invitations that precede an RFP, so you're not waiting six months for your first piece of evidence.

What happens if it isn't working?

You'll know before you have to ask. Weekly calls, monthly reporting, and a quarterly strategic review where things get killed or kept.
Not everything works. We test, measure and cut what isn't producing, and you'll hear it from us before you have to raise it.

We already have a marketing team. Where does that leave them?

Usually better resourced. Most in-house teams we meet are one or two people carrying a remit built for six, executing well against a strategy nobody has pressure-tested.
Sometimes the honest answer is that you need a hire rather than an agency. We'll say so if that’s the case.We’ve helped clients source full marketing departments, trained their internal teams and have even taken over when a client is in between internal hires.

Do we have to create the content ourselves?

No, but we'll need about an hour a month or so from the people in your business who actually know the subject.
That's the one thing we can't do for you. Your market can tell the difference between an expert view and something generated to fill a slot, and so can the platforms.

Regulated and complex markets are the only ones we work in. The case studies on this page span pharma, commercial training and wealth management, B2C through to enterprise B2B.
What transfers isn't the tactics. It's that senior buyers in all three behave the same way. They ignore vendors and listen to peers and trusted advisers. Our job is to get you into the second group.

Do you offer anything other than the Growth Engine?

We work on an ongoing basis with a small number of clients.
We do one-off projects across brand, web, creative, CRM and content, usually for clients we already work with, or where one specific thing needs fixing before anything else can start.

Can we pay for strategy and training instead of implementation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Larger clients with their own teams use us to train them and to pressure-test the plan.
It works when there's real capacity to execute it. It doesn't when the strategy lands on a team of two who are already at capacity, which is the more common situation.
